Joan's first pup, a yellow lab, was released and is now her wonderful pet who does agility. Her second pup was Delilah, a golden. Delilah went through most of her advanced training and then was chosen to be a breeder. Joan immediately volunteered to be her breeder caretaker and after waiting and waiting she had her first litter 3/21/99. They had 8 healthy LGX puppies. After reviewing Delilah's hip x-rays it was determined she had mild hip dysphasia and since she was slow in coming into heat they chose to retire her. She is now Joan's pet therapy dog and they visit nursing homes and hospitals. Joan's 3rd pup Elli Jay is a graduate with Jane Veith in Redmond Washington. Jane is a wonderful person and is often on the CCI People list as doing marvelous things. Her 4th pup was Lucy II. She was a bit difficult to
motivate, but after 9 months of advanced training just the right person came
along, Elizabella from Seattle Washington. She graduated this past May and
was chosen as the CCI representative to attend the Charles Schultz Memorial
service in Santa Rosa this month. Joan is very active in their Gold Rush Champions group, does lots of demos and usually takes the pups on at least one plane ride. Sassie went to Wansington, DC and toured the White House. (That's another story). You can visit the Gold Rush Champion Puppy Page at http://grchamps.home.att.net/raisers.htm .
Ruby has settled in with Joan. Joan reports that Ruby does a great sit, learning down, shakes, learning to speak, does an awesome wait and a great here. She loves to snuggle and is very calm...... so calm one of the trainers calls her the couch.. She still doesn't like the kennel but is adjusting. Things seem to be going really well. |

Little Miss Ruby was released. Ruby is such a sweet and sensitive dog but she did not adapt well to changes in her environment and just could not take kennel life which included refusing to eat. Ruby now lives with a family in Utah where she is very happy and her appetite is not a problem. Visit the other "R" pups page
