R Litter Born 1/5/98
Some people wait a life time for a miracle.
We raise them one at a time.

I didn't think I would ever be a Breeder Caretaker again after Issel's heartbreaking death at only three.  Then In February of '98 CCI called and said they needed someone to foster a breeder named Ola who had 10 three week old pups.  Ola's Breeder Caretaker, Denese C. had become ill.  I murmured  "oooooh"....  CCI  responded by saying that they had called 27 people and that I was the first person that hasn't said NO immediately!"   Two days later Ola and her 10 pups arrived via Linda Cortez and Linda Lady who were driving back from Santa Rosa.   I had not  met Ola before and the pups were already becoming active little doggies!

Three days after they arrived I caught  the worst flue I have EVER had.... I remember lying in bed shaking and delusional thinking "are there really puppies in the garage or is this a dream".   Ola took care of them until I was better?"  Here's some great pictures of  Ola's "R" litter between 3 to 8 weeks.

Lots of B Pictures Loading

I was worried how my  boxer Tailer would react to the new puppies, he wasn't here for my "I" litter.

Kind of looks like he'd like to read his "Doggie Contract" and see if puppy setting is covered doesn't it?

Tailer turned out to be a natural at this puppy thing.   They were a constant wonder and surprise to him, he  tolerated every annoying behavior they dished out.  Even when all 10 pounced on him and hung by their teeth from his jowls... he just went along with it.... what a  good puppy you are Tailer!

It's difficult to get people to help socialize,  who wants to hold a cute, cuddly, sweet little puppy with puppy breath?   But somehow your friends come through for you.. The "R" litter didn't lack for socialization.

Good job guys.!

Since I was not the official B/C I lost contact and do not know where all of  Ola's "R"s are now.   HOWEVER many people have been kind enough to forward updates.... if any of you  have information on the "R" litter... let me know...send/e-mail me some info or pictures.  E-Mail PoochiePals  I would love to hear from them  and  I'll be happy to add updates to the web site.

Roseanne and Rosemany II 2/99 Matriculate into Advanced Training.
(yes, Rosemary you're still my favorite...shhhh don't tell the others)

Remy was in Ola's litter that I fostered.... his PR was Lauri who just found PoochiePals and forwarded this message

"Remy was the easiest pup of the 9 I raised.  Always perfect (I have a picture of him shaking hands with Tipper Gore).  He developed kennel cough as soon as he entered advanced training, was quarantined for 6 weeks, then released.  He lives with my friend on a ranch east of Sacramento now.  Still a perfect pooch"

REBECCA II became a breeder for CCI and produced 5 incredible litters... the last of which is currently in training (2004). She has given birth to at least three CCI breeders, Lido, Louise, and Rosy, and many graduates.

.............and according to Wendi....Rebecca II has also mothered breeders "Louise" (Full Golden - Sire: Firecracker), and "Rosy" (Full Golden - Sire: Taro, GDB). Rosy is in the SBChapter, and is having her second litter of puppies (Sire: Hemet) the first of March. Rebecca is also mother to Facility Dog "Rory II", who is a gorgeous golden who Wendi saw graduate last February.

Linda sent these pictures from the February 2004 graduation...
