Faith's due date was 12/14/00 but late 12/12/00 she started telling me that she wasn't a fat dog anymore, she was feeling funny and wanted me to fix it........ this usually means they are coming within 24 hours.
About 11:30 pm 12/13/00 it looked like it would be soon so I called Sarah who would be birthing support with me for our 5th litter together..... this time she had to drive all the way from Tracy. Vanessa and Faith's buds Tailer and Sophie and I made sure everything was ready.... not a long wait at 11:50 pm the first pup was born, a golden male weighing 1 lb (Taebo).
Sarah arrived at 12:45 am and we began to wait for puppy #2. When more than two hours had passed I started calling Pet Emergency to see if I should bring Faith in...... it is not unusual for a long time to pass between pups but if contractions have been going on for over an hour it may be an indication something is wrong. Not to worry..... at 2:16 am #2 arrived while I was still on the phone.... #2 was a Black Female weighing 13 ozs (Tien).
Then things started popping -

am a Golden Female weighing 1 lb (Tachi)
#4 arrived at 3:05 am a Black Female
weighing 13 oz (Tumi)
#5 arrived at 3:15 am a Golden
Female weighing 12 oz (Taku)
#6 arrived at 3:26 am a Black Female weighing 9 oz

am a Black Female weighing 13 oz (Tiki II)
at 5:06 am #9 a Golden Female weighing 13 oz (Taya II) arrived and she wasn't breathing.... Sarah rubbed her while I tried to breath for her... she would take one breath then stop...... we did this 2 to 3 times and then put some brandy on her tongue..... she started taking breathes on her own.... whew!!!!!
At 5:12 am #10 a Golden Male weighing 14 oz (Terrell) arrived....
We waited for over an hour and decided we must be finished....ya never really know for sure....
Total of 10 beautiful puppies.... good job Faith!
