Don and Bettie turned in  ADIT Lanai (Cathy  "L" litter-graduated see below) and picked up Tipper.  They  picked her up in Orlando and went on to Miami to visit their son.  They were very acquainted by the time they returned to North Carolina and  reported that Tipper was wonderful the whole trip.

Tipper is sharing their home with Daisy a black and white Springer Spaniel who is their assistant puppy raiser (APR).

Tipper's training is moving right along she can do sit, down, stand, here, speak, kennel,  and hurry already and she is only eleven weeks old!  We're so proud of our little girl!

We hear her leash work is perfect, she does
sit, down, stand, here, speak, bed, and a two minute sit-stay  YOU GO LITTLE GIRL!

she is the most lovable little girl
ever!   She was recently in a presentation for a girl scout troop.

Turn-in is never easy but for Don it was particularly difficult with Tipper.   He said "This little girl crawled
into my heart from the first day we met and seeing her walk down that hall to the kennel just about killed me."
Lanai, Don's second pup, graduated  in May and went to
a professor from the University of Tennessee as a facility dog.  He will use
her in classes and research on using dogs with the disabled.
The Graduation/Matriculation ceremony was wonderful Don reported.  Here he is giving a  short speech about puppy raising at the ceremony.
Don continues to get very good reports on Tipper's training.  Her trainers are working with her soft nature and feel she has many great qualities.
Tipper got her PhD in doggie training after one year in advanced traing.... but Lori, her trainer,  persisted and Tipper graduated August 2003 with a fourteen year old girl named Jazmin.
