Beta II's Page

Beta's P/R was Yolanda  and her husband who live in Indiana.  Beta was Yolanda's fourth PIT.

Beta's trainers Vinnie, Thumper,  and Chuy (Beta right).  Vinnie (originally Irving '93) was Yolanda's first PIT who was released due to hips and eyes.  He is now a Mission Ready Search and Rescue Dog... which means he and Yolanda have been trained as a team to search for lost and missing person.

We chose the name Beta because he had a white star on his forehead when he was born... and  Beta means the brightest star.   Yolanda loved the name because she works in the IS department for an internet group and her group thought the name was very appropriate for their new member.

Beta's walker Michael

Beta in CCI class. He has spots on his tongue just like his mom.

Below Yolanda, her husband, the family dogs Vinnie, Thumper, and Chuy, Beta II on the right and visiting PIT Shasta on the left.
Beta was released from the CCI program  in March.  Yolanda was so disappointed and also was unable to keep him.  Beta now lives in Austin, Texas with her sister-in-law, Marina.  Marina just lost her dog of 14 years this past January .  Yolanda says Beta will have a home with a border collie named Sandy, all the toys and long walks he can dream up and a handler who will provide the best health care a dog would ever need.  And best of all, she will get to see him again.
